An honors graduate of both Princeton University and Harvard University Graduate School of Design, Erica Tishman was an Associate at Beyer Blinder Belle, where she managed numerous projects during her eight years with the firm. She directed to completion the design and construction of a new gymnasium and classroom building for the lower school at Riverdale Country School. Her role on the Riverdale project included overseeing the design team and engineering consultants, as well as the coordination of building systems and cost containment for the client. She served as Project Manager for a new 100-unit apartment building for the elderly in Washington Heights and Project Architect for the design and construction of a 50-unit condominium in TriBeCa, which was recognized for design excellence and published in Architectural Record. Her expertise includes code and zoning analysis, and the coordination of the building design process through construction. She has presented work on numerous occasions before the New York City Planning Commission and the Landmarks Preservation Commission.

Erica Tishman is currently a partner in the firm, DeWitt Tishman Architects. DeWitt Tishman has overseen the design and construction of significant residential and commercial projects for private developers in and around the New York area. Projects have included the approval of 124 Hudson Street, a new building in the TriBeCa West historic district. Ms. Tishman is currently overseeing the design of a new 35-story residential tower in the historic Powerhouse district of Jersey City.

Erica Tishman has designed and coordinated the renovation of over 20 apartments in historic buildings along Park Avenue, Fifth Avenue and Central Park West and has overseen the complete renovation of several townhouses in Manhattan. Her private residential work includes the design and construction of several projects in Long Island. In addition, Ms. Tishman was recognized in the national Sub-Zero-Wolf Design Awards program in 2005 for excellence in kitchen design.

Ms. Tishman, a licensed Architect in New York, is a member of the American Institute of Architects and LEED Accredited Professional. At Riverdale Country School, she has served as president of the Alumni Association, and currently sits on the Board of Trustees, the Executive Committee of the school and Chairs the Plant and Facilities Committee. In her capacity as Chair of Facilities, Ms. Tishman has overseen the completion of $30 million in construction, two campus master plans, a reforestation plan, and she is now coordinating a facilities stewardship program budgeting and planning ongoing maintenance and projected capital expenses. Ms. Tishman has recently joined the Board of Directors for The Educational Alliance, an organization overseeing 85 programs at 25 sites on the Lower East Side. As a member of the Alliance's Real Estate Committee, Ms. Tishman is currently involved with the construction of a new in-patient substance abuse center. Ms. Tishman is currently an active member of the Alumni Schools Committee for Princeton University, vice president of her Co-op Board and serves on the building committee for a new community house for Central Synagogue in Manhattan.
