DeWitt Tishman Architects specializes in customizing our designs to the individual needs of our clients, based upon their site, programs and budgets. During our 16 years in business we have developed an expertise in housing; both large-scale multi-family housing and private residences. In both cases, we look to create a positive impact on our clients' quality of life. In large residential projects, we continually strive to design large, livable spaces with plenty of natural light, public spaces that are both efficient and luxurious, and exterior designs that respect their neighborhoods, are visually interesting and unique and affordable to our clients. Our private residential projects, which range from large pre-war apartments to private homes in both town and country, reflect each family's needs and living style. Commercial and institutional projects are approached in a similar manner through a complete understanding of each client's project. In addition, our most recent projects have all addressed sustainability as a design opportunity and choice for our clients.

DeWitt Tishman uses a collaborative approach for all our projects, between the owner, architect, professional consultants such as structural and mechanical engineers, and city planning officials, community groups and marketing consultants. Within the office, we work in teams, with each staff member bringing their diverse experience to the team. Our staff has both extensive technical and design expertise which is a valuable resource to each project. We encourage an open discourse among ourselves, our clients, and our team members. It is our belief that our projects will most fully reflect our client's objectives through a completely transparent and highly interactive process.
